The Bristlecone Bricks and Train Show is Nevada's premier LEGO and model train show. This annual event takes place at the East Ely Depot Museum Freight Barn on the Nevada Northern Railway
Model trains and tens of thousands of LEGO bricks come from Nevada, Idaho and Utah to delight children of all ages. Vintage diesel locomotives thunder past, while historic steam engines whistle while spewing coal smoke and steam. Handcars and speeder cars provide a chance to experience life on the railroad. A contest showcases LEGO building talents and awards prizes. "SumoBots" battle, while junior architects test how much weight their LEGO bridges can hold. The world famous railroad cat greet visitors. Interactive displays and participatory LEGO art projects entertain. Set in the wild west landscapes of the Great Basin's high desert amidst the history and excitement of a bygone era.
The Bristlecone Bricks and Train Show began in 2021, when a group of friends decided to share their love of LEGO and trains by bringing something fun to Ely, Nevada. Hundreds of people from across the state, country, continent and world have visited the show to marvel and LEGO creations and model train layouts.
Admission to the show is free. Train rides and other activities may be available at an additional cost.
